I read a couple of articles recently that found if you smile whether you were happy or not, it tricked your brain to be happy because your brain didn’t know whether you were happy or not. So I decided to do an experiment, I decided to smile even though I wasn’t really that happy but I wasn’t sad either. I pulled out a large grin on my face and I immediatelly felt happier. Was it the placebo effect or was this truly a scientific thing? Well, whatever it was, it worked for me. As I wrote this post at my place I reminded myself to smile and my mood felt lighter. I needed that today since I was fighting a cold. So, give yourself a smile or a big grin and maybe you’ll get just a little happier today, just don’t creep anyone out by suddenly smiling if you read this in public.
